Kara Yoo is a design and manufacturing studio located in Vancouver, Canada. We design and make almost everything in-house. We have a strong focus on simple, yet striking designs, with nuanced proportions and silhouettes. Each piece is designed and constructed with our central creed - that it is made to wear.

Our plated metals have a much thicker plating than the industry standard. We use 2.5 micron thick plating over sterling silver or brass.

Tumbled gemstone chips are the basis for our reimagination of the puka shell necklaces popular in our youth, elevated with baroque rice pearls.
Sola
A brighter and more cheerful collection, Sola is an exploration in playfulness with a bit of nostalgia. I wanted to reimagine the necklaces that were popular in my youth, updating them to be more wearable by pairing Japanese glass seed beads in soft, joyful colors with miniature baroque seed pearls.
