A large 8x4mm marquise opal stud. The opal has a really great orange hue with a really luminous green fire on one end -- the model photos represent the color best.
Opals are very fragile stones, and this one actually cracked a little while we were setting it. It's totally okay, but you should be aware of that -- it's hard to photograph and not noticeable when worn.
The marquise is a classic shape, with slightly rounded sides leading to a point on each side. This is a large cabochon (a smooth gemstone with a polished dome top).
Sold as a single. Set in solid 14k gold, and will ship with a 14k gold fill backing.
